10 years ago, Ryan Cleckner published the Long Range Shooting Handbook and has helped guided tens of thousands of shooters on the road to long range precision. Today comes his second book on the topic, Advanced Long Range Shooting.

This new book covers advanced topics in a way that is easy to understand, even for shooters unfamiliar with any of the content. From handloads for precision shooting to reading the wind, Advanced Long Range Shooting covers a lot of ground.

Ryan also dives into some of the myths around long range precision shooting. Not only detailing what they are, but also why new information and better science have supplanted these outdated ideas.

Incorporating the latest technology can dramatically help performance, but getting started with the use of wind meters, ballistic software, smart watches, and more can be a daunting task. Advanced Long Range Shooting goes over not only what all of these tools can do, but also some of the best optics currently on the market.

The hardest part of long range shooting has always been wind and movement. Multiple chapters are dedicated to helping improve your ability to read wind, predict movement, and land shots.

We’ve only just started to read our copy of Advanced Long Range Shooting, but so far, it’s easy to recommend!

Advanced Long Range Shooting is currently available on Amazon Kindle ($10) or on Amazon as a paperback book ($25).
