Boker has once again renovated a traditional pocket knife for 2026. The Modern Club Knife is another historic jack knife pattern spruced up with all the modern EDC knife fixings.

This “modernized traditional” concept has been an ongoing project for the prolific Solingen, Germany-based Boker. In early 2024 they created the Modern Barlow, followed by the Modern Trapper later that year. The concept is one that innately appeals to knife nerds, because most people in that demographic enjoy both the high-tech modern stuff, as well as the simple, rugged, eternally useful traditional pieces that laid the groundwork for the things to come.

The pocket clip puts the Modern Club Knife nice and low

The Modern Club Knife has a 2.87-inch spear point blade – the profile itself is pure traditional, and one that has been serving up super-capable everyday cutting capability for hundreds of years. Here, of course, it has been equipped with a flipper for quick one-handed deployment, and there’s no carbon still in service here; instead, Boker chose to make this one from Nitro-V, a nitrogen-enriched stainless that holds up well to both tough material and corrosive conditions.

Meanwhile, the handle is a titanium frame laid with handsome, coarse-grain Micarta scales. This is a fully modernized traditional, which means that, tucked away under those historically-fluent washboard style chassis, we’ve got a liner lock implemented to keep it secure in the open position. Flip this bad boy over and you’ll also notice a pocket clip on the off-side, for pocket carry in the modern sense. The Modern Club Knife weighs 2.36 oz.

It’s slated to release on March 15.
