Ceuta is a Spanish city located on the North African coast. Its strategic position at the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea made it a historical prize.
Phoenicians, Romans, and Visigoths ruled it sequentially. In 711 AD, the Umayyad Caliphate seized control, integrating it into the Islamic world.
Portugal conquered the city in 1415 during the Age of Discovery. In 1580, Spain and Portugal united under a single crown. When the union dissolved in 1640, Ceuta’s residents chose to remain loyal to Spain. The 1668 Treaty of Lisbon officially recognized Spanish sovereignty over the enclave.
Today, Ceuta is an Autonomous City of Spain and an integral part of the European Union. Morocco claims sovereignty over Ceuta, viewing it as occupied territory. This ongoing dispute creates regular diplomatic friction. Because Ceuta represents a land border between Africa and the EU, it is a major flashpoint.
An unprecedented border crisis is overwhelming Ceuta, when nearly 60,000 migrants crossed from Morocco over a few days.
Pedro Sánchez is a radical opportunist that is justifying his dictator-like policies with fantasies of globalization and human rights.
In order to completely change the demographics of Spain and maintain power, his progressive social engineering, pro-immigration policies, high-spending economic agenda, and a wave of close-circle corruption scandals, are wiping out Spain’s sovereignty over its borders.
This same person, the leader of a NATO member, did not allow the U.S. to use Spanish airspace to prosecute the war that the United States and the Gulf countries and Israel are waging against Iran’s regime.
In other words, this leader is both defying the laws of his own nation, the laws of the European Union and the laws of NATO. Why, then, is he still in power?
Why aren’t the people of Spain rising up and demanding that a leader that respects their basic rules, govern? Why is a radical reformist able to revolutionize their way of life with such relative ease? It is the same thing we saw under Biden’s open border era and countless other examples in the west…
The answer is that the people of Spain, on aggregate, and those of many other western nations, are TIRED of greatness and have stopped caring about their collective principles and ideals that led to their riches.
This laziness nearly resulted in the election of Kamala Harris to President of the United States of America, which would have led to WW3.
If you truly, in your soul, agree with this assessment, then you must, by default, agree that President Trump saved the world from entering into a global disaster with tens of millions, perhaps hundreds of millions of dead soldiers and civilians.
This renewed faith in the greatness of America, in the way of life that has been the most successful civil and cultural system to ever exist, has not been factored into markets.
In other words, the TRUE VALUE of restoring the American way of life, piece by piece, day by day, as voters rejected suicide by progressive globalist dictatorship, with a puppet at the helm (Kamala or whomever), has not been priced into the markets, in my view, but if the midterms are won by the MAGA movement, which is, in essence, the movement to preserve the greatness of the union and to expand it, then markets will finally SOAR to new heights that currently only look unimaginable.
The Midterms are the most important risk-on or risk-off event EVER.
