Jack Osbourne is defending his choice to attend the UFC fight at the White House over the weekend, saying that some critical comments he’s gotten have been “completely insane and like what the f—?”

The former reality star shared a video on his YouTube channel to discuss backlash he’s received, and shared several examples of social media comments that said things like “So disappointed” and “This is kinda devastating not gonna lie.”

“I went to a sporting event. That’s it,” he clarified. “I didn’t go and throw my hat in the ring for political office. I wasn’t there going to endorse a politician or some kind of, you know, foreign affairs issue. Nothing. I literally went to the White House to go see UFC.”

Osbourne explained that he’s been interested in combat sports his entire life, including doing taekwondo at 6 years old, studying Muay Thai in Thailand in his late teens and early twenties, and doing jiu-jitsu in his 30s. “I have also attended UFC and PRIDE fights going back to the early 2000s. It is something that has been a part of my life since I can remember,” Osbourne said.

He said when he was invited by President and CEO of UFC Dana White, “of course I would go. Any person out there who would get an invite would have gone. I’m sorry, there’s no one I could think of that would have been like, ‘No, I’m not going to that ‘cause I don’t approve of Orange Man’ or whatever the f—.”

He called the backlash “ridiculous,” stressing it was “not a political event — or in my eyes it was not. It was a f—ing fight at the White House. Who gives a s—?”

The 40-year-old said he told his wife at the event it would be great if there were more sporting events at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and pointed out that some past presidents held events on the White House lawn.

The “Night of Terror” host took umbrage over fans who said that his father, the late Ozzy Osbourne, would disapprove of his attendance.

“You did not know my father. You did not know where he stood with things,” Osbourne said. “Yes, he wrote a song called ‘War Pigs,’ sure. Anti-war song. He wasn’t anti-UFC. He wasn’t anti-going to an event at the White House. He was anti-war.”

He pointed out that his dad attended a White House Correspondents Dinner during the Bush administration and showed a video of him jumping up excitedly when he got a shoutout from the former president.

Ozzy also did USO tours and went to visit wounded service members at Walter Reed Medical Center, his son explained.

“So, shut the f— up, basically,” he added. “To bring my father into this to say he would or wouldn’t’ve approve is completely insane. I simply attended a sporting event for a sport that I have a great amount of respect for and something that’s been a part of my life since I can remember.”

He added, “So, deal with it, and I’m sorry you weren’t invited.”
