Jack Wolf Knives is back on that fixed blade grind with a new batch of the Collusion from JakebCreates – this time with a domestic manufacturing twist.

It’s been interesting to watch Jack Wolf evolve over the years. Way back in 2022, we spoke to Jack Wolf founder Benjamin Belkin, who sang the praises of traditional slipjoint knife design – and announced his intention to contribute to that genre with his new company. Ever since then, Jack Wolf has rolled out a steady stream of enthusiast-grade slipjoint designs that riff on the classics of yore, but dress them up in the materials of the modern locking folder. But Jack Wolf has expanded its range of offerings in the intervening four years, with locking variants, a wallet-friendly line, fixed blades, and collaboration pieces.

Some might call this sheath tan – but we know it’s a subtle tribute to KnifeNews

First released last August, the Collusion (need we even say?) checks the latter two boxes. Jack Wolf models come in waves, with each new batch offering something different to the last, even if it’s just new material options, and that’s certainly the case with this Collusion, but with a bit of a twist. See, it’s called the Collusion USA because, unlike the original version, it is made in the United States rather than abroad. Jack Wolf brought on Millit Knives for help with this; thus, the Collusion can join the Vampire Hunter Mainline as a USA-made fixed blade in the Jack Wolf lineup.

Design-wise, the Collusion USA aligns with its predecessor. It has a 3.14-inch wharnie blade, a great length and shape for the EDC fixed blade category to which it belongs. The original Collusion came with S90V steel, which is certainly no slouch (to say the least), but the USA is made from CPM CruWear instead. CruWear is another high-tier super steel, serving up heaps of toughness and edge retention. The USA is only being offered with one handle material, but it’s a looker for sure: “Gold Nugget” Fat Carbon gold camo with unique stripe milling. The Kydex sheath is KnifeNews Orange, in a much-appreciated but unnecessary nod to our humble site.

The Collusion USA is releasing tomorrow, July 31 at 2pm EST/11am PST, and will be available only through Jack Wolf’s site.
