War Chief Wants More Money For War

The United States’  first war chief, Pete Hegseth, is demanding more money for the war with Iran. Hegseth is the US Secretary of War and has, so far, lived up to his title.

The First Secretary of War Loses A War

The US and Iran have both been exchanging strikes as the war reignited after a brief peace deal fell apart. Both sides are blaming the other for breaking the agreement.

Now Hegseth is verbally sparring with Senate democrats over his desire for additional funding for more military operations in Iran and the broader Middle East.

Hegseth told the Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday that the campaign against Iran launched by President Donald Trump together with Israel on February 28 has so far cost an estimated $37.5 billion. –RT

The war chief is seeking $87 billion in congressional funding for the Pentagon, including $67 billion for operations in the Middle East.

“Without these funds, we face critical shortfalls that threaten our ability to also simply pay our service members, rapidly replenish equipment and munitions, and sustain vital operations without disruption,” he said. Democrats argued that Trump had already failed to achieve his stated war goals and accused Hegseth of misleading the public.

Most of the mainstream media also feels this way, as they chalk up the failed interim peace agreement, the Memorandum of Understanding, to a US surrender to Iran.

None Of The Most Important Issues Have Been Resolved By The Memorandum Of Understanding

“That consternation is why so many New Yorkers are perplexed, stressed out, and find this war to be incredibly unpopular,” Kristen Gillibrand, a New York Senator, said. She added that in spite of Hegseth’s claim that Iran’s stockpiles of munitions are “depleted,” US troops are losing their lives.

“The Iranian defense-industrial base is effectively gone, but they do have underground facilities,” Hegseth replied, adding that Iran has “spent 47 years trying to hide their missiles under mountains.”

If that’s the case, Iran must certainly have been successful.
